Two stars is amazingly generous. This "authentic Mexican" place has nothing Mexican on the menu. You can however have French onion soup or a shish Kebab (for $30) in a dirty place. We got up and left before our drinks were brought out.

My absolute favorite restaurant! Not favorite kosher, not favorite in Miami- favorite restaurant, PERIOD. It is a rare, incredible treat to find a kosher Mexican restaurant, but they are not simply a kosher Mexican resteraunt, with kosher being the most valuable aspect. They are real, authentic, delicious Mexican. They have great deals on margaritas and daquiries. I live in Kendall and drive and hour north to go to this place and whenever I come home from school in Boston I make sure to go. The place is clean and nice with simple Mexican decor. The re-opened recently, so MAYBE that is why some people have given negative reviews, but I'm convinced that they are talking about the wrong restaurant.Great food, great service, great prices (lunch special is wonderful!). Go! You won't regret it!

This place is horrible one star would be generous. There is nothing authentic about this Mexican place. I mean the enchiladas came out with watered down sauce on top. The tortillas were not fresh made. They taste as though they came right out of the refrigerator after 20 days. My son got a hot dog and fries. Really hot dog and fries at a Mexican restaurant and they messed that up. The fries were different color brown as they had either fried old fries or threw some old fries from lunch in the oven to heat them up. Also the rice and beans were not fresh you could see the rice had been reheated. I usually don't right reviews but I felt as though someone needed to know just how bad this place was. Again if you are strolling by and you are thinking about trying this place out trust me keep waking and stop into papa johns or get subway it's just that bad!!! My wife is Mexican and they should be ashamed to try to pass this crap of as Mexican food and the price is ridiculous!!

$20 burritos and tacos??? Are you kidding me? The food is not bad but not great. But charging $16 for a chicken burrito and then an extra $3-5 for beef, steak or grilled chicken is absurd (same for tacos). Gave it 2 because the food wasn't authentic but it was ok. The prices however are ridiculous. Won't be back.

Not sure what all the negative sentiment is about here. I had dinner with my family here on a recent Sunday night, and we were thoroughly pleased with our experience. As a foreword (and this is coming from somebody who didn't keep kosher in the past), this restaurant is kosher and therefore you will not find dairy, pork, or shellfish products on the menu. So that might be a letdown if you're expecting those kind of dishes here, but there are plenty of other interesting and delicious items on the menu to choose from. The restaurant was not too crowded when we arrived but gradually got busier as the evening wore on. It's loud, but the music is good and the Telemundo sports matches playing on the wall TVs add to the authentic Mexican experience. We were seated within a minute and our waitress was friendly and attentive for the whole meal. You're given tortilla chips with salsa to start out with which were tasty - just make sure to request some water as soon as you sit down if you want to eat them; the salsa has a little kick. We ordered one of the sampler plates to start out with, which was really good. The orders between us four were two grilled chicken breast kebabs and two grilled chicken fajitas. My kebab was delicious, with lots of sauce/grilled vegetables on the side and jasmine rice underneath. The fajitas came out literally steaming hot and were amazing, with lots of grilled onions, peppers, and chicken pieces you could add to a warm flour tortilla. Sides included rice with re-fried beans, and guacamole with what seemed like some kind of Israeli salad which was equally good. For dessert, we shared some vanilla fried ice cream. It wasn't quite as tasty as it sounds, but that's probably because the ice cream is "pareve" which means it is non-dairy and tastes as such. All in all, we really enjoyed our meal. It's a little on the pricey side, but worth it, even if it's located in a touristy shopping mall. The owner is friendly and came to our table to ask us how our meal was. I think the best part was that it was pouring rain when we left, and the owner personally escorted my mom to our car at the curb, holding an umbrella - now that's service. We will definitely return here again.

Terrible fish tacos -worst grade tilapia probably from China - and way expensive. I don't think anyone that works there is Mexican or knows anything about Mexican cooking and recipes. They don't know anything about food. Tourists trap.

One of my all time favorite Kosher restaurants. For those comparing it to Taco bell, you're not being fair. Kosher meats are much more expensive. Some of my favorite items: the chicken soup, chile, and the fajitas. Really outstanding food.

Finally, not only a Kosher Mexican, but a good one to boot! We really enjoyed the meal and the service was great! They have fish entrees and it really was fantastic such a change from all the typical Kosher restaurants. It appeals to the secular market as well, great job!!!

I come here all of the time. The food and drinks are really good. I am not sure why people give negative feedback. The prices are normal for kosher food. I just had the Big Bravo Burritos and they were excellent.

Had lunch there. I ordered the chimichanga which was delicious. My server was very efficient and courteous. Price was very reasonable considering all the food is kosher. Highly recommend. On another day I had the Mexican Flag Enchiladas with mole sauce. Also excellent.

Great meal! We had the California burrito and the Tacos Tacos. Both were large portions (the burrito was gigantic!) and very tasty. The guacomole is excellent! We also had a lime and mango margarita...also excellent. The service was great as is the decor. You feel like you are in a mexican restaurant. I woulld definitely eat here again!

The food is not bad, but not great. What kills me is the prices! $15 for 3 tacos? And they charge extra for chicken, 1.50, Kobe beef? $2.50, shredded beef? 3.50 and forget the steak at 4.50. And btw the steak was chewy and didn't taste great. The service is lacking. As I finished eating and clearly said I don't want anything else....I had to wait 20 min before asking myself for the check. The restaurant is empty and for a good reason. If you want really good Mexican food and great service try something else like paquitos.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
